Homemade Chilli Paste (Mum's)

As much as I love cooking, I try not to spend too much time in the kitchen. The fun should be in the dining room, enjoying the food with your loved ones. So, let me share with you the secret stash in my fridge, Homemade Chilli Paste. This chilli paste is used in most of my recipes and it will definitely help to cut some prep time when you cook.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg dried chilli.
  • 3 onions - peeled & cut into quarters.
  • 4 garlic - peeled & cut into quarters.
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of cooking oil.

Next Steps

  • Remove seeds from chilli and add them into a pot of boiling water. Once it is 3/4 cooked, toast off the water.
  • Add the dried chilli, onions, garlic & oil into the blender.

Storage tip: Put the chilli paste in an air tight container and store in the fridge. If it is kept properly, it is good to keep for 1 month.
